Director of Financial Services and Procurement

Are you a Director of Financial Services and Procurement ready for a career-defining opportunity? We’re searching for an exceptional and inspirational leader to step into this key Director role at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). This is your chance to lead and shape the long-term plans for financial services and procurement in a dynamic organisation with approximately 15,000 employees and a budget of over $2 billion.

About the Director of Financial Services and Procurement Role:

  • Strategic Impact: Drive and execute visionary plans for financial services and procurement that will support the delivery of CALHN’s clinical and research strategies

  • Influence and Collaboration: Providing expert advice and insights to senior executives, your recommendation will help shape CALHN’s strategic decisions and drive positive outcomes for patients and communities.
  • Executive Prestige: Secure a Senior Executive Service (SAES) Level 1 executive contract, with a 3-year tenure.

As the appointed Director of Finance Services and Procurement, you will report to the Executive Director of Finance and Business Services, and provide leadership and strategic support to ensure that CALHN optimises the use of its resources to support the delivery of high-quality, effective and efficient care for its communities. You are accountable for the delivery of excellent financial and procurement services that support the delivery of CALHN’s strategic and annual plans.

Key Focus Areas in Your Leadership Spotlight:

  • Strategic Visionary: Develop and implement visionary plans for high-quality financial and procurement services delivery.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead and support initiatives fostering a culture of continuous improvement for excellence.
  • Inspire Dynamic Teams: Motivate and lead a professional team of around 40, aligning efforts with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to instil a culture of performance accountability, contributing to CALHN’s strategic objectives.

We are seeking a strategic leader in the finance and procurement domain, with experience of working in complex and highly regulated organisations.  Your expertise should extend to policy at a systems and corporate level, complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement. Accreditation and membership with a recognised professional accounting body i.e. CPA or ICA is required.
